Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 July 2026
1. Provider and scope
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website weblin.info, the weblin Spaces mobile app, and related weblin services (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by:
Lupus Labs UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Waterloostraße 26
22769 Hamburg, Germany
Represented by Managing Director Klaus H. Wolf
Email: team@lupuslabs.de
By using the Service — including creating a profile in the app or posting any content — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
weblin Spaces lets you leave short public notes ("Thoughts"), comment, vote, and chat with other people in rooms that correspond to web pages. Key characteristics you should know:
- Content is public. Thoughts, comments, and room chat are visible to other users of the same room. Do not post anything you would not share publicly.
- Content is ephemeral. Thoughts automatically expire and are deleted after a limited time (currently 7 days). Room chat is not permanently stored. We do not guarantee retention of any content.
- Privacy by design. The Service does not require an account with an email address or password. Your identity lives on your device; if you lose it and have no backup key, it cannot be recovered by us.
- Interoperability. Rooms and chat may be shared with users of the weblin browser extension and other weblin clients.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
4. Your identity and account
The app creates a pseudonymous identity on your device. You are responsible for:
- everything posted from your identity,
- keeping your recovery key (if you create one) secret and safe,
- choosing a display name that does not violate the rights of others or impersonate another person.
5. User content
5.1 Your responsibility
You retain any rights you hold in the content you post. You are solely responsible for your content. You must have all necessary rights to post it.
5.2 Licence to us
By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content within the Service for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence ends when the content is deleted or expires, except where retention is required by law.
5.3 No monitoring obligation
We do not review content before it is posted and are not obliged to monitor content. We act on reports and remove content that violates these Terms (see Section 7).
6. Prohibited conduct — zero tolerance
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, share, or link to content that:
- is illegal under German law or the law of your country;
- harasses, threatens, defames, or bullies any person;
- is hateful or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar grounds;
- is pornographic, sexually exploitative, or sexualises minors in any way;
- glorifies or incites violence or terrorism;
- is spam, scam, phishing, or deceptive advertising;
- violates intellectual-property rights or the privacy of others (e.g. doxxing);
- contains malware or attempts to compromise the Service or other users' devices.
You must also not: impersonate others, evade blocks or suspensions, scrape the Service, abuse rate limits, or interfere with the technical operation of the Service.
7. Moderation, reporting, and blocking
- Reporting: Every Thought, comment, and user profile can be reported directly in the app (report categories: spam, hate, NSFW, other).
- Action within 24 hours: We review reports of objectionable content and act on legitimate reports within 24 hours by removing the content and/or ejecting the user who posted it.
- Blocking: You can block any user in the app at any time. Blocked users' content and messages are hidden from you on your device.
- Removal: We may remove or hide any content that, in our reasonable judgement, violates these Terms — without prior notice.
8. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app; your Thoughts expire automatically. We may suspend or permanently ban identities that violate these Terms, without prior warning in serious cases. Where reasonable, we will state the reason on request.
9. Availability and changes to the service
The Service is provided free of charge and is currently in a beta/early-access phase. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or the permanent retention of any data. We may modify, limit, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
10. Warranty and liability
For a free service, our liability is limited as follows: We are liable without limitation for intent (Vorsatz) and gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit) as well as for injury to life, body, or health. For simple negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (Kardinalpflichten), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Any further liability is excluded. Liability under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected.
Content posted by users reflects the views of the respective user, not of Lupus Labs UG.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms when the legal framework or the functionality of the Service changes. The current version is always available at weblin.info/terms. Material changes will be announced in the app. If you continue to use the Service after changes take effect, the amended Terms apply.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms, reports of abuse, or legal notices: team@lupuslabs.de.
A note on standard wording: These Terms were drafted in line with common templates and adapted to the concrete functionality of the Service. They do not replace individual legal advice. Should the Service's functionality change substantively, these Terms will be updated accordingly.
